Each dataset's specific permitted and prohibited uses are written into its licence; this policy sets the platform-wide floor.
Permitted use
Testing, validation, demonstration, evaluation and research use cases as described in each dataset's listing and licence. Commercial use is permitted where the dataset's licence allows it; demonstration and red-team uses are permitted with the reviewer notes attached to the dossier.
Prohibited use
Automated decisions about real individuals; re-identifying or inferring identities of real people from synthetic records; mixing synthetic data with real personal data in ways that re-create the data the synthetic data was designed to avoid; reselling or redistributing datasets outside the licence; using datasets to train systems whose primary purpose violates this policy.
Platform conduct
Do not attempt to interfere with the operation of the platform, extract data beyond what listings expose, or scrape, mirror or re-host content without permission. Bulk automated requests against forms are not permitted.
Enforcement
We may suspend access, revoke delivery links, or terminate licences for material breaches of this policy or the executed dataset licence. The full remediation and dispute process is documented in the executed agreement [to confirm].
